Beating the Vodacom Bulls at their own turf?

I want to start this blog by saying I am still gutted at the loss on 25th February this year  in Bloem against the Vodacom Bulls.  I thought we had that one in the bag – I was even at that game... needless to say the emotional scar still remains – you know that “klippie in die skoen effek...”

It’s a funny thing – this whole unpredictability with Vodacom Super Rugby teams and especially to make a call on this weekend’s  result. Two of the most unpredictable teams in the competition, Cheetahs and Rebels go head to head.

Welcome to Bloem boys...

So there I was yesterday when my phone rang and it was my 7 year old son saying "Dad, just want to let you know the Cheetahs are playing the Crusaders on the 14th May! Maybe we can win 3 times in a row!! Go Cheetahs!" Although the thought of facing the Crusaders, is pretty scary,  I couldn't help but smile.

Always being Cheetah man – minority rules! The once a year shock defeat makes me love them even more.

 

As a father of 3 rugby over weekends is the only time I have for myself – ever. So I have to make it count!
